About the 2011 Holiday Food Fair & Bazaar
Organized by Bushwick Farmers' Market, the 2011 Holiday Food Fair and Bazaar is drawing inspiration from the growing "local food" movement and Bushwick's arts & crafts community. We are curating an exciting mix of food vendors and local artisans to join with The Shops at The Loom to create a festive and unique holiday shopping experience, replete with "hot cider and cool gifts."
For those unfamiliar, The Shops at The Loom is a hip, indoor mini-mall on a high-traffic street on the edge of Bushwick's trendy warehouse district, complete with an espresso bar, yoga studio, knitting cafe, hair & nail salon, vintage clothing store, and more.
The 2011 Holiday Food Fair and Bazaar starts with a "First Friday" Preview Party on Friday, December 2, from 6:00 - 10:00pm, with live music and complimentary cocktails. Bushwick Farmers' Market and other participating vendors will also be open for business.
Promotion: Bushwick Farmers' Market is making full use of traditional media (press releases, posters, flyers) and social media (Facebook, Twitter) to promote the event. For increased visibility, Bushwick Farmers' Market's signature red tents will be set up on the Flushing Avenue sidewalk in front of The Loom.
Vendor Participation: As this is a new event, we are especially looking for pro-active vendors to help cross-promote, so that we reach as wide an audience as possible. Snazzy graphics and text will be provided; we can work with you to customize them if needed!
We are also looking for vendors to host small workshops or demonstrations, to add interest to the event. Please include details of your interest & availability in your application!
In short, we are looking for vendors to partner with in helping make the Holiday Food Fair and Bazaar an annual holiday event not to be missed!
