Information for Vendors

A Note About Accepting EBT:
This is highly recommended as it gives more people the opportunity to purchase your goods.
It cannot, however, be accepted for all purchases. EBT token eligible items include fruits, vegetables,
meats, eggs and poultry, dairy products, baked goods, jams and jellies, honey and maple products, apple cider,
grape juice, and other processed foods for human consumption, as well as plants or seeds used to grow food for human
consumption, such as vegetable bedding plants and potted herbs.
EBT token ineligible items include: wine, ornamental plants, cut flowers, Christmas trees, wool products,
other non-food items, and prepared foods (hot or cold) for immediate consumption, such as coffee,
sandwiches, wraps, or hot apple cider.

Vendors selling taxable goods are required to carry a
NYS Certificate of Authority to Collect Sales Tax.
If you do not have one, you can apply for one online - applying is free but the process takes a few weeks
so if you need one, get crackin'! Also note the NYS site isn't the most user-friendly: use the Keyword Search
in the left column for NYS Certificate of Authority to Collect Sales Tax to find the appropriate info.
